This is what I’ve christened a Swedish Manga (Euro Manga), a relatively new concept where comics utilize Japanese character design and story telling, but is written and drawn by one or many Swedish (European) artists. Even though there has been some interesting developments on the Swedish comic market since I started drawing manga in 2004 I still feel that for young Swedish (International) readers there is more need for alternatives to imported Japanese titles. For this target group I want - with Sayonara September - to create a high quality Swedish Manga.

The comic is set in a Comic Art School and centers around art student Alex and her classmates. It is thereby intended to appeal to the audiences’ own dreams and ambitions. My guidelines though out the creative process have been an as unbiased gender perspective as possible, everyday realism, and the characters existential speculations and fears depicted with humor.

The first 100 pages of the comic is up on the page for anyone to read or download.

As the series is being published in Sweden there will be no more pages posted online, but I hope an English version is soon to be published.

Help me expire this project by spreading the word. Tell others about this page and feel free to link to it as well.
